Scaffold fullstack projects from a catalog of Stack Parts.
Use the CLI, the Stack Builder in your browser, or an MCP server for AI agents.
Quick start
Run one of these commands to scaffold a new project:
bun create better-fullstack@latest
pnpm create better-fullstack@latest
npm create better-fullstack@latest
yarn create better-fullstack@latest
The Stack Builder runs in your browser and hands you the command to copy, or a ZIP download: Open the App Builder →
Future Stack
Solid, Effect, and the TanStack libraries in one project, with oRPC, Drizzle, SQLite, Better Auth, and a showcase app that uses each library. Choose SolidStart or TanStack Start, and whether Effect runs in the app or on its own server:
bun create better-fullstack@latest preset future-stack my-app
bun create better-fullstack@latest preset future-stack my-app --framework tanstack-start --effect server
Why Better Fullstack
- Mix languages in one project. Multi-Ecosystem mode composes frontend, backend, database, and mobile parts from different languages, like a TypeScript frontend with a Go backend.
- Build without installing anything. The Stack Builder runs in the browser and downloads your project as a ZIP. No Node.js and no terminal required.
- Validated before files are written. The CLI and the builder share one compatibility engine, so invalid combinations are rejected or adjusted before any file is written.
- Recorded in
bts.jsonc. Every project stores its configuration inbts.jsoncandbts.lock.json, soadd, update, andcheckcan extend and repair what was generated later.
AI agents
Connect your AI coding agents to Better Fullstack with one command:
npx create-better-fullstack@latest install
After install, supported agents scaffold projects through the MCP server, 2.6x faster than hand-writing in ScaffBench; see the AI docs for setup.
