NVIDIA's RTX Spark laptops went on sale on October 16, 2026 from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI. RTX Spark is an Arm-based chip for Windows PCs that combines, in one package, a Blackwell RTX GPU, a Grace CPU designed with MediaTek, up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI compute. NVIDIA pitches it for running AI models and agents locally, alongside creative work and gaming.

What NVIDIA Is Shipping With It

NVIDIA says guided installers let users set up agents including GitHub Copilot, Hermes, OpenClaw, Perplexity, Pi and WorkBuddy without a command line. It also lists Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B as a local model for supported configurations, and NVIDIA PAIR, which lets an RTX Spark PC serve AI inference to other computers on a home network.

For developers, NVIDIA and Microsoft list the first PyTorch-CUDA build for Windows on Arm, a native Python build and Conda installer, and support for 97% of the top 15,000 Python packages. Adobe is shipping Photoshop and Premiere betas with RTX Spark support at launch.

Reactions and Impact

The Verge had three editors use five RTX Spark laptops for a week. Antonio G. Di Benedetto found the GPU performance landed between an RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 laptop GPU in his tests, below NVIDIA's RTX 5070 comparison, and that Apple's M-series chips were well ahead on CPU. Sean Hollister got about 5 to 5 hours 40 minutes of battery life from the ASUS ProArt P16 in daily work. Tom Warren said local AI "feels like a beta aimed at developers right now".

Tom's Hardware reported that devices began shipping on launch day, with Best Buy listings from $2,599 for an ASUS ProArt P14 with 24GB. Its review of the Surface Laptop Ultra found the platform strong for local AI but weaker for gaming.

What We Don't Know Yet

  • Why NVIDIA's two posts give different starting prices, and which configuration the $2,399 figure refers to.
  • Pricing and dates for the small form factor desktops.
  • How many of NVIDIA's performance claims hold up in independent testing beyond these first impressions.
