Higgsfield Genjutsu is for the shot you already have. Keep the motion, the camera move and the timing; swap the actor, the location or the product. No reshoot. The product lives at higgsfield.ai/genjutsu, and Higgsfield's own walkthrough, Meet Higgsfield Genjutsu, has the details and the credit table.

Here is how a job actually goes, start to finish.

1. Generation Modes

Motion Transfer borrows only the movement. Cast, setting and overall look are rebuilt from your reference images.

Object Swap leaves the shot alone except for one thing you select: a character, an outfit, a product, a location, an object.

Either mode runs off presets (the blog lists 30+). A text prompt is optional.

2. Input Requirements

Source clips run 4 to 30 seconds; the API trims anything longer to 30. The web app takes up to 30 reference images, while the API's Motion Transfer endpoint, higgsfield/genjutsu/motion-transfer/v1.0, takes 1 to 8 image URLs. Real footage and AI-generated video both work.

3. Resolution and Pricing

Output tops out at 1080p, with 480p and 720p also offered in the API. Both modes share one credit table, from the blog post Higgsfield marked as verified in September 2026:

15-second clip Credits Approx. USD (blog)
480p 40 $2.00
720p 104 $5.20
1080p 144 $7.20

The dollar figures are Higgsfield's conversion when the post went up. Drafting at 480p and rendering the final at 1080p is the obvious way to keep the bill down.

Higgsfield Genjutsu Pricing by Plan

What a credit costs depends on the Higgsfield plan it comes from. The figures below are from the plan data that Higgsfield's pricing page loads, read on October 22, 2026:

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing, per month Credits per month Cost per credit (monthly) One 15s 1080p Genjutsu clip (144 credits)
Starter $15 $15 200 $0.075 about $10.80
Plus $49 $39 1,000 $0.049 about $7.06
Ultra $129 $99 3,000 $0.043 about $6.19

Ultra also comes in 6,000- and 9,000-credit sizes, and Team, Scale and Enterprise plans pool credits across seats. Higgsfield has changed the cards on its pricing page several times in late October. AdTestBench, which tracks the page, recorded Starter at $19 for 270 credits and Plus at $59 ($47 yearly) for 1,200 credits on October 19, 20 and 22, and both variants are in the plan data. The checkout page shows the final price.

Credit rules from Higgsfield's help center apply to Genjutsu like any other generation:

  • Subscription credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. On annual plans they reset every 30 days.
  • Credit Packs (100 to 25,000 credits) need an active subscription and last 90 days.
  • Generations through MCP, the CLI, Canvas or other automated tools always deduct credits, even on plans with Unlimited model access.
  • The exact cost appears on the Generate button before you confirm.

Usage Data

Genjutsu is a feature inside Higgsfield rather than a model with its own OpenRouter id, so Higgsfield has no row on AI Rank's video ranking. For a sense of which video APIs are busy, the Oct 8–14, 2026 window had Seedance 2.5 at No. 3 by requests.
