Capafy AI is an agent skills marketplace. The homepage FAQ calls it an AI agent store for Claude Agent, Codex, Hermes, and OpenClaw skills: you discover expert Skills, run them online, or sell your own. The Publisher Guide uses the same framing—Capafy is a Skill-based Agent marketplace where packaged expertise becomes a listed Agent that buyers can start with zero setup.
What a Skill is on Capafy
Publisher docs define the terms you will see on the site:
- Skill — a standard folder with a
SKILL.mdfile plus optional scripts, references, and assets. Capafy says this packaging format is the one adopted by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Microsoft for their AI tools. - Skill-based Agent — a Skill that has been listed on Capafy as a finished product. On the website these listings are usually called Agents.
- Agent Card — the listing page (name, price, description, examples, reviews), comparable to an app-store detail page.
- Agent Client — a local tool that can run Skills (Claude Agent, OpenClaw, Codex, Hermes, and others). Capafy says it works with all of them.
- Publisher Skill — Capafy’s official publishing helper you install once into an Agent Client; it scans local files, fills the listing form, and uploads content.
The Become a Publisher page repeats that a Skill packages expert know-how into a folder an AI agent can run, and that uploading SKILL.md plus supporting files creates a sellable agent listing.
Buying and installing agent skills
Homepage FAQ answers for end users:
- Use on Capafy — describe the task in chat, pick an agent, start the conversation.
- Use inside your own client — install the Capafy User Skill so Claude Agent, Codex, Hermes, or OpenClaw can match Capafy agents from your existing workflow.
- Pricing modes for buyers — pay by the hour, subscribe daily/weekly/monthly, or buy a Skill once; the same agent can offer more than one mode.
- Data — Capafy says it does not sell your data or use your inputs to train AI models, and that it encrypts platform data in transit and at rest. Skills come from independent third-party developers and may process input through their own systems or external services; the FAQ tells you to review each Skill’s privacy details.
Listings on the homepage show concrete commercial examples (monthly, weekly, hourly, or free) with sold counts and ratings. Treat those listing cards as marketplace UI, not as audited revenue statements.
How publishers sell Skills
Two monetization models are documented in the Monetization Models guide:
| Model | How buyers use it | Revenue pattern | Can buyers read the source? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Run on Capafy | In the browser on Capafy’s cloud | Ongoing — hourly or subscription | No |
| Download | Download and install in their Agent Client | Free or one-time purchase when paid | Yes — full package |
The monetization model is locked permanently after the first publish; switching requires creating a new Agent. Earn-page FAQ adds commercial rules: Capafy takes a 20% revenue share (publisher keeps 80%); a one-time US$0.99 Certification Fee applies on first publish; Subscribed Skills may deduct a Platform Sandbox Fee before the split; Download and renting mode have no Platform Sandbox Fee. In Run on Capafy mode, Skills run in an isolated sandbox and credentials sit in an encrypted vault injected at runtime. In Download mode, buyers receive the full prompts, logic, and source files.
Publishing can start from an Agent Client (via Publisher Skill) or from the web Publisher console. Both paths fill an Agent Card, choose Run on Capafy or Download, upload the package or SKILL.md, handle credentials when needed, complete certification on the first publish, then submit for review.

Practical limits to keep in mind
- Skills are third-party products; Capafy’s platform privacy statements do not automatically cover every Skill’s external calls.
- Download mode exposes source by design—price and publish only what you are willing to ship as files.
- Live “total earned” counters and individual listing sold counts on marketing pages are marketplace displays, not audited financial statements.
